Strengthening Climate-Resilient Forests

THE LIECO COMPANY Acquires
Nova Role Production Site

With the acquisition of the Nova Role production site from LESCUS Cetkovice s.r.o., effective April 2025, THE LIECO COMPANY is strategically expanding its production capacity in the field of container seedlings. Located near the German border and close to the spa town of Karlovy Vary, the new site offers ideal conditions for supplying the German market.

This strategic development is a targeted response to current market needs. Alongside reforestation and afforestation, forest transformation is increasingly becoming the focus of a forward-looking, active forestry sector. The need for a diverse mix of suitable tree species to stabilize forests in a changing climate places new demands on forest plant production.

"In the era of forest restructuring, we will be able to offer a broader product portfolio and better meet the increased demand for container-grown plants. To ensure the availability of forest plants with secure provenance and the best possible genetic traits for our customers' various forest sites, we will also offer more contract propagation services."
